Membership age: Minimum 18 years, younger paddlers requiring Parental consent.

Membership is $150 per year + $1 for New Members to join Incororated Association. This fee incorporates membership of the state body, Dragon Boats NSW Inc (DBNSW), affiliation fees to the Australian Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF) and Sporting Injuries Insurance.

It allows members to participate in all DBNSW regattas and any others (such as regional and other special events) during the season (September - April each year). Members also pay around $20 for entry fees at each regatta.

Dragon Boat Team

After Easter each year there is an early bird special, which gives new paddlers membership for the rest of our club year (until the AGM in August) and for the following paddling season as well.
These fees entitle members to unlimited free paddle sessions when the boats are out.
Paddling teams compete as Open (mainly men), Women's, and Mixed (maximum of 10 men) in the Premier, Masters, Grand Master and Great Gran dragon divisions.     Currently the Dragons Abreast teams compete in the usual women's category.
As a registered paddler you are eligible to try out for State representitive selection which can lead to Australian representation.

At all sessions boat, paddles, sweep and coach is provided by the club. We hold many social events, which help us to get to know each other better. SO – from social paddling to elite racing - we have it all!Get in touch, print out the application form and join up and become a part of this exciting, worldwide sport.

ALL cheques/Money Orders should be made out payable to Newcastle Hunter Dragon Boat Club.
Bank Cheque payees must record their name on the back of the cheque so the payment can be credited to them.
Electronic transfer:MUST include name and reason for the deposit (i.e. membership fees; regatta fees etc) in order to make out receipts and confirm payment you MUST send notice of payment, transfer receipt to the Treasurer.
