The Dragonhunters Club has grown rapidly since it's beginnings in 2000. Whilst our current membership is largely Masters age, we are now focussing on recruiting and building our Premier division (under 40s). We also have a strong Dragons Abreast contingent: these women have been an active part of the club from the beginning.

We are also very competitive in the Masters events in the National competitions. In 2007 Our Open (men) team secured third place in the 1km Nationals race. Training is on Throsby Creek
(see google map) lasting around one-and-a-half hours. Wear casual clothes that you don't mind getting wet and definitely some kind of footwear (thongs, old sneakers, boat shoes).

Anyone interested (who is 18 or over, and can swim 50m fully clothed) can just turn up and we will fit you into a boat. The first two sessions are free.

We also put on a very popular community event for the locals each year as well as charity events.

Best-dressed NHS Pirates

Tug-O-War NHS Pirates: who can ever forget the motivators for the various teams? (especially the Noakes motivator: obviously putting engineering principles to work very effectively!)

Congratulations to all! We hope to see you next year and bring some friends with you: especially whole teams of friends!
